A few years ago, I had the privilege of meeting the extraordinarily beautiful and incredibly intelligent French actress Laetitia Casta, thanks to Maud Rabin.
At the time, Maud was the Communication and Image Director for Cointreau and had successfully managed to bring Casta on board as the brand’s International Creative Director. Casta is an icon in France and has even served as the model for Marianne, the national symbol of France, whose sculpture can be found in every town hall across the country.
During an event at the Opéra de Paris with UK journalists and influencers, Maud tugged at my sleeve and said, "I’m going to introduce you to Laetitia." We met behind a pillar!
And then something completely unexpected happened—I burst into tears in front of Casta.
Me, the strong leader, the resilient woman, etc etc… in that moment, I was nothing but pure emotion. Casta took my hand in that suspended moment in time. She didn’t judge; instead, we shared a truly raw and emotional connection as I allowed myself to be vulnerable.
I have no regrets about that moment. It created something special, something real, and from there, we were able to truly connect.
When was the last time you dared to show your vulnerability?
